اندلع حريق في برج "ذا تورش" (الشعلة) عند  الساعة الثانية من فجر يوم السبت الموافق 21 فبراير 2015. وتم إخلاء جميع السكان من المبنى فيما عملت أنظمة السلامة ومكافحة الحرائق على نحو فعال خلال الحادث، ما أسهم في الحدّ من الأضرار التي ألحقتها النيران بالجزء الخارجي من المبنى. وفي حين لم يتم بعد تحديد السبب الذي أدى لوقوع الحادث من قبل الدفاع المدني بدبي، إلا أنه تمّ إخماد الحريق الذي أشارت التقارير أنه لم يُسفر عن سقوط أي ضحايا.
وقد عدّت شركة كينج فيلد لخدمات الإشراف الإداري لجمعيات الملاك ملجأ مؤقتاً والمؤن الضرورية للسكان في برج "برينسس" (الأميرة) المجاور. ويتمثل هدفنا الرئيسي في هذا الوقت التأكد من سلامة جميع السكان  والاعتناء بهم، كما نقوم أيضاً بالمساعدة في الترتيبات من أجل توفير مساكن بديلة للأشخاص الذين تضررت شققهم.

A fire has occurred at The Torch Tower at approximately 2:00am on Saturday 21 February 2015. All residents were successfully evacuated from the building and all fire safety systems functioned effectively during the incident thereby restricting fire damage to the exterior of the building. While the exact cause is yet to be determined by the Dubai Civil Defense, the fire has been extinguished and no casualties have been reported at this time.

Kingfield Owner Association Management Services has arranged for temporary shelter and provisions for residents in the adjacent Princess Tower. The main focus at this time is to ensure that all residents are safe and looked after while we also assist in arrangements for alternative accommodation for those whose apartments have been affected.
