A search and rescue airplane, of the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department, saved a citizen who had fallen from his jet ski in open water after colliding with forceful waves.

At 11 p.m. on Sunday, the Air Wing operations room received a call from the central operations room in regards to a man who had been yelling for help in open water. At the time, the sea was rough and with a low visibility of 1,000 meters.

After analyzing the report and collecting all of the information between the central operations room and the Air Wing operations room, it was discovered that two people had been using jet skis. The first jet ski malfunctioned due to high waves and “A.S.”, 34-years-old, fell from his jet ski. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather conditions, the search and rescue aircraft could not immediately respond after receiving the call.
