The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate has announced that it has installed traffic light cameras at 10 intersections in Abu Dhabi, bringing the total number of intersections fitted with these cameras in Abu Dhabi to 36. This step was implemented as part of the first phase of the project that aim to install traffic control systems at all intersections. It is worth mentioning that this project is part of the approach to use state-of-the-art automatic traffic control systems, and is in line with Abu Dhabi Police’ traffic safety strategy that aims to make roads safer.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police recently established a Traffic Village to raise awareness among motorcyclists and quad bike drivers in the Al Bada touristic region. It was also established to educate students on safety precautions and the requirements needed in order to drive motorcycles. The village also aims to encourage motorcyclists to abide by traffic rules and exercise caution while driving in order to avoid accidents and maintain their safety and the safety of others.

The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police has urged drivers to ensure the safety and ability of their vehicles’ tires in order to avoid serious traffic accidents caused by faulty, worn-out tires. Tal Moreeb Race Participants to Practice in Designated Areas

As the New Year holiday and celebrations approach, the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate is increasing its surveillance of internal and external roads. In a meeting in his office on Sunday, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met H.E Dr. Najibullah Mojadidi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the UAE.

The Ministry of Interior has urged Sharjah police officers to promote the concept of respecting the law and urged them to commit to this through their work and behavior.
