ADP Staff Members are Trained on How to Properly Handle Elevator Accidents
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, December 12th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

 The Central Operations Directorate General of Abu Dhabi Police recently celebrated the end of a specialized training course that instructed participants on the proper methods of intervention in cases of elevator accidents. This training course was intended for members of the Directorate General of Civil Defense, Abu Dhabi and members of the Public Safety and Emergency Department.

Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, stressed the police leadership’s keenness to increase its staff members’ level of efficiency and emphasized their desire to help them improve their performance and enhance the quality of their work.  This reflects the Ministry of Interior’s aim to improve the efficiency of its manpower by keeping up with regional and international improvements and developments, which enables the police force to acquire the best set of skills. He also pointed out that good training allows the officers to perform their duties efficiently and competently. He urged the graduates to double their efforts in order to improve their work and achieve excellence.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel Jean Emmanuel Galzy, Regional Police Commissioner Attaché; Major Jean Noel Lebat, Deputy Regional Security Attaché at the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi;  Lieutenant Colonel Saleh Al Amoudi,  External Training Branch Manager; and Captain Nasser Abdullah Al Sa’idi, Training Branch Manager at the Directorate General of Central Operations.

At the graduation ceremony, Major General Al Raisi handed out certificates to the course’s graduates. The course’s lecturers, Lt. Colonel Wilson Jaurès and Captain Vincent Verstraeten from the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) of the French Armed Forces, stressed the importance of joint cooperation between Abu Dhabi Police and the French Police. At the end of their speeches, they both wished the Emirati people further progress and prosperity, and said they hope to see the leadership continue to support their team members’ development.
