The Auditing Team Praised the MoI Methodology

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, received the Platinum Certificate from Ideas UK, which was awarded to the Ministry of Interior for its Institutional Suggestions System. Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Colonel Mohammed Hamid Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, were present during the event.
Major Mohammed Ismail Al Harmoudi, Head of Complaints and Suggestions Department at the Ministry of Interior’s Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General, handed over the platinum certificate to His Highness. This marks a new scientific milestone achieved by the Ministry of Interior for work systems implemented to enhance an initiative spirit among its employees, as the first governmental ministry to receive the platinum certificate from Ideas UK in the first assessment carried out by a team from the association.
The platinum category is the highest level within the Ideas UK classification, followed by gold then bronze categories.
The ministry received this credit after an auditing process performed by auditors from the association on the Institutional Suggestions System implemented by the Ministry of Interior via the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General. The ministry utilizes the system to encourage employees to contribute with their recommendations and ideas, in order to improve performance and productivity, develop the working environment, and increase client satisfaction.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said: "This success is a result of the instructions of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. It is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s vision to encourage us to work efficiently to make the United Arab Emirates one of the safest and most secure countries in the world.”
Adding further, he noted: "The ministry is keen to providing high quality police services to both citizens and residents. The quality of safety and security has become a global essential need and it is thus important for us to provide a safe life for everyone who lives in this country.” He also lauded the police’s strenuous efforts to provide distinguished services to the public.
He added: "The achievements of the Ministry of Interior, by receiving numerous excellence awards locally, regionally, and internationally truly reflect the level of development that it has attained. These achievements are attributed to the close supervision and the unlimited support of the police leadership to improve governmental performance in general. Another factor for this success is the ability of the police force, the outstanding effectiveness of its members and the strong belief in the need to work on providing an adequate and stable work environment and improving the services provided to the public.”
The auditing team expressed their extreme admiration for the systematic work process followed at the ministry; the efforts of the team entrusted to supervise the suggestions system; and the future development plans whether on work procedures or the e-system, which has enhanced the concept of communication among all employees.
The Platinum Certificate is awarded if the suggestion system efficiency achieves 90% or more, according to the Ideas UK criteria, which include 86 standards covering all legal and financial aspects; the system procedures, regulations, feasibility and connection to the institution’s organizational chart, and its ability to achieve the goals of the institution. It also looks into the communications and publications (awareness aspects), incentives and bonuses, performance indicators, system efficiency, information management, employee training, and ways of developing the training programs.
