Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented by Cultural and Social Activities Section at the Clubs Department, concluded its participation in the initiative of displaying the largest statistical map of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the world that was held from December 1st until yesterday, Saturday, on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, marking the UAE 42nd National Day celebrations. Abu Dhabi Police old and new photo exhibition witnessed intensive public attendance from various social segments; especially school students, families, and foreign tourists.
Colonel Saif Al Shamesi, Chief of the Cultural and Social Activities Section at the Clubs Department of the Abu Dhabi Police stated that ADP participation falls within the framework of its strategic partnership with Statistics Center- Abu Dhabi (SCAD) and other society’s institutions. He explained that the police aims at implementing its strategy in communicating with community’s segments and is a part of the tireless efforts to present the most prestigious services for the public. Al Shamesi praised the suggestion that Security Media Department made about participating in the initiative of displaying the largest statistical map of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the world. Furthermore, he acclaimed Security Media efforts in giving all media support, and its participation with the various police departments at Finance and Services Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police.
Colonel Saif Al Shamesi explained that the old and new photos exhibition introduced Abu Dhabi Police timeline since it was established in 1975 until our present day, in addition to the old and new patrol cars and logos. The exhibition witnessed large number of attendees of various age and social segments. It represented an opportunity to understand the evolution stages of the Abu Dhabi Police. It displayed old equipment, uniforms, and the communications equipment that were used in addition to other old tools and vehicles used by police officers in early stages of its establishment. It also displayed the various modern techniques and the different services provided by the Abu Dhabi Police, giving a clear impression of the extent of progress achieved by the Abu Dhabi Police. Moreover, the photo gallery featured a rare set of old photos documenting the historic stage of the evolution of the Abu Dhabi Police.
