Brigadier Hamad Adel Al Shamesi, Director General of the Punitive and Reformative Institutions in the Ministry of Interior, said in a speech made on the occasion of the 42nd National Day:
The 2nd of December 1971 is a great day in the history of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It’s a memory that is engraved in the heart of every UAE citizen, and a day that embodies the determination and efforts made to reach to this achievement with the blessing of God, and with the keenness of Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the nation, and his brothers Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council Rulers of the Emirates, where the efforts to create the union became fruitful. The result was establishing a united country in a modern aspect that made it comparable to its developed counterparts in terms of development and progress. Today, the memory is renewed in the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of the UAE under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his brothers Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council Rulers of the Emirates.
The development, prosperity and world class urban life we are witnessing today have all covered all aspects of life especially the police sector. This sector under the union has become a main pillar of promoting the march of security and safety enjoyed by all UAE citizens and residents.
Concluding, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to our higher leadership and to the people of the UAE on this occasion. I also would like to extend my warmest prayers to the All Mighty God to preserve the UAE and keep it strong, safe and secured with the blessings of God and the efforts made by our wise leadership and people who are keen to safeguard the unity and integrity of the country.
