Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, delivered a speech on the occasion of the UAE 42ndNational Day. Following is the text of the speech:
The Second of December marks the National Day of our beloved country. On this special day, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the State and Renaissance builder established the Union.
The 42nd National Day is a solemn occasion entrenched in the hearts of all citizens. on this date, the UAE was established thanks to the strong will and determination of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers, the Supreme Council Members and rulers of the Emirates. Their Highnesses have exerted unstinting efforts to lay down the foundations of our young State, which managed within a few years, to achieve a prominent international stature.
On this occasion, Emiratis take pride in the impressive achievements and gains of our civilized leadership, which established the pillars to ensure a distinguished present and a promising future, in a country of ongoing progress. A country that symbolizes loyalty towards leaders who dedicated their efforts to serve the progress of their nation and position it on par with the most advanced countries in the world.
At this stage, as we commemorate our unity, we recognize the challenges faced by our national quest. This motivates us to work with dedication and loyalty, and endeavor to take part in all efforts aimed at achieving the vision and aspirations of our leadership. We will strive with all our might, to highlight the successes and achievements of our dear country at all regional and international forums.
The aspirations of the Emirati people to develop their beloved country have no boundaries. We are committed to build a better tomorrow with the efforts of this noble people. Everybody is called upon to engage in the growth and development process, and efficiently build the future, and to stand united to overcome difficulties, challenges and risks.
Today, and every day, we renew our allegiance to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State. We promise to dedicate every possible effort to meet the expectations of our good people, aspiring towards prosperity and progress; praying Allah Almighty to guide us all in our endeavor to serve our precious country and its strong stature.
We pray Allah Almighty to safeguard our country and its higher leadership and grant them success in their efforts to further advance our nation. We also pray Allah Almighty to bestow wellness and heath on their Highnesses, the President of the UAE, his Deputy and their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and to assist them in their quest to elevate our country.
