Major-General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director-General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police, hosted a ceremony to honor 201 distinguished private sector suppliers for 2013. The ceremony was recently held in the Conference Hall at the Decision-Making Support Centre.
The honoring demonstrates the partner relationship management methodology and reflects the commitment to implement the organizational excellence practices by interacting with partners and motivating them to do their best. This is achieved by availing ideal methods to regulate and build relations with partners on the local and regional levels.
Director-General of Finance and Services reiterated the keenness and absolute support of HH Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to ensure efficient cooperation with the various institutions. Such cooperation will contribute to achieve the coveted aspirations of performance development, ultimately leading to achieve excellence and leadership in the various areas of institutional work, based on effective partnership and good collaboration with all parties.
Major-General Badran indicated that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters takes pride in its partnerships with the various entities and seeks diligently to provide all necessary components to further improve and develop these partnerships.
He added that the honoring, held annually by the Directorate General of Finance and Services, comes in recognition of the efforts exerted by the various suppliers, who constantly aim to strengthen their leading cooperation and make efforts to achieve the common aspirations. "Partnerships with the various entities have been witnessing remarkable progress year after year,” continued Major-General Badran.
For his part, Brigadier Salem Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services, praised the distinguished efforts of the honored companies and institutions. He underscored the police leadership’s commitment to support the suppliers’ efforts, communicate with partners and provide the necessary resources to bring about further excellence.
In his speech on the occasion, Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi lauded the longstanding cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Police and the various suppliers. He pointed that the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategy devotes significant importance to honor its distinguished partners and suppliers, whether working in the police force or cooperating with it, and who presented valuable and highly commendable initiatives.
Al Nuaimi praised the suppliers’ leading achievements and initiatives, calling on them to pursue this distinguished approach and to ensure efficient communication in the framework of joint cooperation, to attain the desired aspirations.
The ceremony included a presentation by Abu Dhabi Police about the suppliers service, and the ‘Green Applications’ strategy, as per the instructions of the Director-General of Finance and Services. The presentation featured an overview of the police general headquarters’ efforts to implement the ‘Green Applications’ policy in its operations with suppliers. This policy includes seven applied, reviewed and generalized methodologies focusing upon: environment, health and public safety; suppliers’ relationship management; electrical appliances maintenance; materials and commodities recycling; rationalization of energy consumption; and buildings and vehicles maintenance.
The presentation revealed that implementing those methodologies leads to efficient workplace practices, since they clearly call for importing eco-friendly items, and integrating them in daily activities at all the institution’s regulatory units. . This policy provides a framework that ensures a long-term success through the various initiatives, projects and programs aimed at achieving the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategic goals. It also guarantees the safe and sustainable implementation of operations and activities in Abu Dhabi through an efficient partnership with public and private sector suppliers; in accordance with the ADP GHQ’s policy and the different legal requirements. It also furthers the spreading of environmental and occupational awareness among the various categories of employees and customers.
At the end of the ceremony, Major-General Khalil Dawood Badran distributed certificates of appreciation to the honorees, in the presence of Brigadier Salem Al Shamesi, and Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi.
