ADP: Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Annual Meeting on Wednesday
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, November 12th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

Organized by the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society (MUSoc), the International society dedicated to the ideals of ultrasound application to the musculoskeletal system, the 23rd Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Annual Meeting will kick off on Wednesday. The four-day conference, which will be held at the conference halls of the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, is sponsored by the Medical Services Administration of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ as a platinum sponsor.

The meeting is particularly important because it is being held for the first time in the Gulf and the Middle East region. A large and diverse international medical faculty and lecturers in the related specialty will work side by side with trainees from different countries all over the world. The meeting also complements its successful previous editions held under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and the supervision of the Medical Services Administration.

The meeting aims to shed light on the increasing use of ultrasound as a relatively new diagnosis tool. It will also highlight the continuously growing importance of ultrasound as an interventional therapy in musculoskeletal lesions and other disciplines and applications, such as orthopedics and trauma; rheumatology; sports Medicine; I.C.U. and emergency medicine; and physical medicine and rehabilitation.

The 23rd Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Annual Meeting will be attended by 15 international experts and lecturers, members of the Society from various schools of medicine in the United States, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and South Korea. Also participating as a lecturer in the conference is Dr. Ayman Mohammed Fahim, Board Certified Orthopedic, from the Medical Services Administration of Abu Dhabi Police G.H.Q.

The conference will include a number of work papers and scientific lectures covering all shoulder joint diseases and injuries, as well as workshops featuring hands-on scanning sessions for doctors and technicians with experienced international tutors.  Moreover, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education will be providing a maximum of 26.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) continuing medical education for physicians. This aims to improve the scientific and training level of physicians and technicians taking part in the conference.
