The Police College celebrated the graduation of a specialized course on "Modern Education and Training Methods” organized and managed by the College’s Planning and Research Section. 16 officers, supervisors and lecturers participated in the course.
Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, Police College Director, revealed that the course is part of the Police College’s strategic plan, aimed at enhancing the officers and lecturers’ skills and increasing their knowledge in academic and training fields. These skills and knowledge will be invested in the future in teaching and training the Police College students. He stated: "This course also reflects the Police’s keenness to develop and keep abreast of the latest techniques to fight crime, and promote society’s security and safety.
He added: "The course tackled several scientific and practical topics, namely; training planning; identifying training philosophy and requirements; and organizing training courses. It also examined training techniques, such as lectures, case studies, brain storming, coaching skills and how they impact the success of training; along with presentation skills; participants’ presentations and assessment of training efforts.”
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Saif Al Kutbi accompanied by Colonel Salem Saeed Al Mekbali, chief of the Planning and Research Section honored Dr. Qassem Jamil Qassem. Then he distributed certificates to officers who participated in the course, in the presence of department directors, heads of sections, and officers from the College and Officers’ Training Institute.
