ADP Deploys its Patrols in tourist Destinations and Landmarks
High-quality Services to the Public

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, October 14th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

The Abu Dhabi Police Tourism Section deployed its foot patrols in tourist areas and landmarks, with a view to provide high-quality services to the public.  This comes in line with its goal to promote tourism concepts, and ensure security and stability in the community.

As of the beginning of Eid al Adha holidays, the Tourism Police Section has been running foot patrols at various tourist locations, frequented by community members across Abu Dhabi. The patrols distributed awareness brochures and manuals in several languages to acquaint the public, tourists in particular, with the prevailing customs and traditions of the UAE society.

Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Fahd Al Otaibi, Head of the Tourism Police Section at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) noted: "The section has taken a number of preventive measures, especially in locations that attract large numbers of tourists who visit the emirate to enjoy the blessed holidays. These measures are in keeping with the efforts to develop police services, to achieve comfort and safety to all, particularly tourist, so as to maintain security in society, and enhance the sense tranquility and confidence.”

Lieutenant Al Otaibi reiterated the Tourism Police’s readiness to deal professionally with tourists in several languages, to provide them with guidance, advice and information. He also pointed out that the Tourism Police exert every possible effort to create a suitable tourism environment by providing safety and security to tourists, which in turn reflects the State’s booming image.

Furthermore, he underscored the keenness of the Tourism Police Section to implement the Police Leadership’s directives to promote police performance, and ensure that Abu Dhabi remains a community enjoying security and safety, by providing high-quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate.

In pursuance of "Your Safety’ campaign and the safety requirements awareness-raising initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Police, Al Otaibi urged the public, and particularly tourists, to abide by the State laws and regulations and respect local customs and traditions. He also warned against uncivilized behaviors and breaches of public morality. He also called on them to respect the feelings of families and visitors of touristic destinations such as beaches; wishing everyone pleasant holidays.

Concluding, Al Otaibi extended his hearty congratulations to the citizens, residents and visitors of the UAE on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, praying Allah Almighty to bestow his blessings to all the Arab and Islamic Nations.  He also emphasized that the Tourism Police Section at Abu Dhabi Police is endeavoring with all its crews to ensure comfort and safety for tourists, visitors and community members, and to provide service and assistance to all those who need it.
