Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, October 8th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

The Punitive & Correctional Institutions Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ defined visitation times during Eid Al Adha for the inmates in its Al Wathba, and Al Ain sections, and the Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center.

Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zaabi, Head of the Punitive & Correctional Institution Department, congratulated the Higher Leadership and the Emirati people for the coming of Eid Al Adha. He prayed for the mercy, blessings, safety, and security of the nation.

Colonel Al Zaabi explained that the day of Waqfat Arafat, which is next Monday, and the first day of Eid, which is Tuesday, has been fixed for female visitors of the Punitive & Correctional Institutions sections in Al Wathba and Al Ain. The second day of Eid, which is Wednesday, and the last day of Eid, which is Saturday, has been fixed for Arab male visitors. Friday has been fixed for non-Arab male visitors. Visitation will be allowed from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm during all days of the Eid holiday.

He also said that visitation times have been fixed at the Juvenile Care Center on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for female visitors; Wednesday and Saturday have been fixed for male Arab visitors; and Saturday has been fixed for non-Arab male visitors. Visitation will be allowed from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm during all days of the Eid holiday.

Colonel Al Zaabi stressed the Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to allow communication between the Abu Dhabi Police Punitive & Correctional Institution Department’s inmates and their families and relatives by arranging suitable times for visitation.

He also underscored the careful attention that the directorate is paying to offer a suitable environment for the visitors and inmates during Eid Al Adha. Visitors will be transported from the department’s main gate to the visitation places via environment-friendly cars that run on electrical power. This effort is carried out within the framework of the "Your Safety” campaign that Abu Dhabi Police has launched.
