To mark the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Association, the Police Music Band performed traditional and popular music pieces at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Ms Fatina Al Sarraj, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Association, lauded the ADP Music Band’s participation in the celebration. She indicated that the Abu Dhabi Police is a strategic partner to the various state institutions and organizations, and a police entity with a humanitarian and societal message, reflected through its participation in the different community and humanitarian events.
During the celebration, the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band presented a musical military parade as well as a number of national and traditional pieces from its distinguished music portfolio, highly acclaimed by the audience. The national music pieces included; "Aala Khalifa Salam”; "DaryAlamha”; "Allah Ya Dar”; "Ana Jundi”; Yal Emarati”; "Sir Bu Sultan”; and "Sawt Al Banadeq”.
It is noteworthy that The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band was established in July 1963, and currently offers national and traditional music for the public throughout October 2013, coinciding with its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The Abu Dhabi Police’s participation reflects its commitment to participate in various societal events stemming from its strong belief in the importance of music in people's lives and the need to instill heritage values.
