Colonel Staff Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hajiri, Commander of the Special Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior, inaugurated the annual shooting championship for staff members of the Special Security Forces. The championship is taking place at the Special Security Forces GHQ’s shooting range at Seeh Al Mahab in the city of Al Dhaid in Sharjah.
In the target shooting competitions using shotguns for teams, the Force 5 Department team secured first place with 1378 points; the First Security Unit team ranked second with 1317 points; the Third Security Unit team ranked third with 1247 points; followed by the Second Security Unit team in fourth place with 1242 points; the Special Security Forces Training Institute team in fifth place with 1224 points; and the Commander’s Office team ranked sixth with 1137 points.
In the individuals’ competition, Ali Khamis from the Force 5 Department ranked first with 347 points; Suleiman Said Suleiman (Force 5 Department) ranked second with 346 points; Nasser Murad Ismail (Force 5 Department) ranked third with 346 points; followed by Said Mohamed Ahmed from the First Security Unit in fourth place with 344 points; and Ahmed Mohamed Said from the First Security Unit in fifth place with 343 points.
Also in the individuals’ competition, Saif Muhamed Abdullah from the Second Security Unit secured sixth place with 341 points; Ahmed Mahmud Abbud (Force 5 Department) came in seventh place with 339 points; Mohamed Ali Abdullah from the Training Institute ranked eighth with 338 points; followed by Said Obeid Khalfan from the Second Security Unit in ninth place with 336 points; and Khaled Ali Mohamed from the Second Security Unit in tenth place with 335 points.
The championship will conclude on Thursday at the Special Security Forces GHQ’s shooting range at Seeh Al Mahab in the city of Al Dhaid in Sharjah.
The inauguration was attended by Colonel Staff Dr. Ali Salim Al Tenaiji, Deputy Commander of Special Security Forces, and Chairman of the Higher Committee organizing the championship; Colonel Abdullah Ismail, Commander of the Second Security Unit and Head of the jury panel, along with a number of Security Units commanders, heads of departments and chiefs of sections at the Special Security Forces General Headquarters.
