The Ministry of Interior recently honored a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, constables, female staff, and civilians from the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services Sector, participants and first place winners in the sixth sports events organized by the Police Sports Federation for MoI staff members.
During the ceremony, Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services praised the distinguished results achieved by the honorees, within their participation in the sixth sports competitions.
The honoring ceremony was attended by a number of officials including Brigadier Ali Mohammed bin Darwish, Director General of Human Resources at the Ministry; and Brigadier Abdul Malik Jani, Head of Police Sports Federation Department. Also present were heads of departments and a number of officers from the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services Sector.
Major General Al Khaili emphasized that these distinguished results were achieved thanks to the top achievers’ good preparations and the considerable efforts they exerted throughout the competitions. He also pointed out that this honoring should represent an incentive for them to prepare well for the upcoming tournaments, so as to achieve better results.
A Khaili also stressed the important role of sports events in boosting sporting and social relations between staff members. He urged both male and female officers and non-commissioned officers to participate regularly in such events; pointing out that they include an implicit purposeful message, which lifts the morale of staff members’ of the various departments and sectors at the ministry, and encourages them to show fair competition. Concluding, Al Nuaimi expressed his thanks to the Police Sports Federation for its efforts in organizing these events; and thanked all the participating teams, wishing them further success.
At the end of the ceremony, Major General Khalifa Al Khaili, accompanied by Major Dr. Saud Al Junaibi, Director of the Assistant Undersecretary’s Office honored the organizing committee chaired by Brigadier Abdul Malik Jani, Head of Police Sports Federation Department. He also honored the winners of the sports events.
