Traffic and Patrols Directorate, a total of 55 driving licenses were revoked in Al Ain last August of drivers who violated the traffic regulations. Two other licenses were canceled.

Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Acting Head of Al Ain Traffic Section indicated that holders of the revoked driving licenses had exceeded the cumulative number of 24 traffic black point demerit. Moreover, he explained: "The cumulative allowed 24 traffic points limit is reached as a resukt of committing serious violations such as: truck drivers recklessly overtaking other vehicles (resulting in 24 points), driving dangerously or racing on the road (resulting in 12 points), and other traffic related offences”.
