Commending the newly approved Anti-Tobacco Law regulations

The Higher Committee for Child Protection at the Ministry of Interior called on community members, particularly motorists, to enhance children’s safety and security, and protect them against any potential risks they may encounter in private vehicles.

The Ministry of Interior apprehended 3,371 violators, including 21 beggars, of the Entry and Residence of Foreigners Law during the holy month of Ramadan. These seizures were made following the raids carried out by the Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Department across the State level.

The Ministry of Interior called upon the public to contribute to the capture of violators by calling the Sahim service on the toll-free number: 80080.

The Abu Dhabi Residency Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Department conducted search campaigns and raids in various locations. The crackdowns yielded the arrest of 824 violators in Abu Dhabi and 105 violators in Al Ain; all of whom have been referred to the relevant authorities where they will await legal proceedings.

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A clinical study to evaluate the prophylactic effect of non-invasive vagal nerve stimulation for the prevention of chronic migraine completed enrollment last week. The study, which is being sponsored by electroceutical healthcare company electroCore, involves 60 patients across six US sites1.

After an initial one month period, during which headache frequency data will be collected, the patients, all of whom experience migraine headaches on more than 15 daysper month, will be randomized into two groups. One group will use an active device and the other a sham device for a period of two months. All patients will then be provided with the active treatment device for a period of six months. Throughout the study, patients will record the number of headache days and the severity of the headaches experienced. The full results are expected in the second quarter of 2014.

The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate indicated that about 3,360,765 individuals received awareness-raising newsletters and messages via social networking sites during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This comes in line with the awareness-raising campaign launched by the Directorate via social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter; and is part of its program to reduce traffic accidents, under the slogan "Together”.

Brigadier Eng.
