The Al Ain Police Directorate called on its officers, non-commissioned officers, civilians and staff at Al Khazna Police Station to pursue the efforts to improve the distinguished services provided to the public and to respect human rights.

According to the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, a total of 76 driving licenses were withdrawn in Al Ain last July of drivers who violated the traffic regulations.  Two other licenses were canceled.

Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Acting Head of Al Ain Traffic Section, indicated that holders of the withdrawn driving licenses had exceeded the cumulative number of 24 demerit black traffic points. Moreover, he explained that the cumulative allowed 24 or 12 traffic points limit is reached when motorists or truck drivers commit multiple traffic-related offences, by either wrongly overtaking other vehicles, racing dangerously on the road or failing to stop when involved in an accident that leads to injuries.
