At the charity event held at Laylaty Ballroom in Jeddah, the first 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 500 car was sold and delivered to Bander Al Khaldi for SR1,730,000 ($461,333), two and a half times the value of the vehicle. The auction was conducted by the famous auctioneer Khalid Al Ismail who runs the largest real estate auctions in the country.
The public sale of the S-Class 500 car to the highest bidder was held on the sidelines of the launch ceremony for the all-new S-Class 2014 car. During the occasion, Safi Kobeissi, General Manager of Juffali Automotive Company, underscored that the donation would tremendously help the Association to perform its mission and continue with its efforts to serve autistic patients who need considerable human and material attention. He said: "In view of the great interest shown by our patrons in the new car even before it reaches the Saudi market, we decided to take advantage of this by offering the first car that arrives in Saudi Arabia at an auction.”
Moreover, Kobeissi emphasized that the S-class has consistently remained the hallmark of Mercedes-Benz in the luxury car segment for decades.
