Ministry of Interior Ramadan Councils Discusses the Role of the Sporting Sector

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, July 21st 2013

The Ramadan Councils, organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the Ministry of Interior, continue their activities tomorrow evening, Monday, across the country.  They will discuss: "The role of sports institutions in supporting the law respect culture.”

In its third day, the council discusses the topic of sports institutions and the law respect culture through four main points: 1) the law respect culture and its importance in social, religious and legal aspects; 2) the role of sports institutions in supporting the law respect culture; 3) positive and negative sports image and whether it helps to implant this culture; and 4) legal highlights.

Khalid Bakhit bin Tannaf Al Menhali hosts the third Ramadan Council at his house in Bani Yas, where Journalist Osama Al Amiri will lead the discussion. Mohammed bin Sulayem hosts the Ramadan Council in Dubai, where journalist Hasan Habib will lead the discussion, while Al Shureiji bin Ma’dan Al Ketbi hosts the council in Sharjah, which is run by journalist Haitham Al Hammadi. Obeid Mohammed Obeid Al Menhali hosts the Ramadan Council in Ajman where journalists Adnan Hamad runs it, while Obeid bin Fadil Al Ghafli hosts the council in Umm Al Quwain, which is run by journalist Abdullah Ismael. Furthermore, Mohammed Al Sakkar hosts the Ras Al Khaimah council run by journalist Munthir Al Mezki, while Mohammed Rashid Al Rashidi hosts the Ramadan Council in Fujairah, which is run by journalist Ali Al Shamesi.
