The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 84 participants after completing five specialized one-week courses. . The 5 courses were held at the Institute and included: 2 courses in "Detection and Security Inspection using computer based simulation training (CBT); one "Airports Security Basics” course; one "English Language” course, and one Diploma on the "Importance of Maintaining Information Confidentiality”.
Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Head of the Training Division, said that training Police cadres embodies the strategy of Abu Dhabi Police, aimed at enhancing the skills of Police staff members in the various services-based fields, to keep up with the latest developments in all fields.
She added that 84 participants enrolled in the five courses and were trained on a number of disciplines and sciences related to airports security. This aims to boost their competencies and enable them to discharge their duties with high efficiency, to maintain the security and safety witnessed by the country.
Lieutenant Colonel Awad distributed certificates to the graduates in the presence of a number of officers and officials from the Ports and Airports Security Police Department. Moreover, she called on the graduates to show loyalty and redouble the efforts to promote the country and maintain its gains. Concluding, she urged them to apply the knowledge they acquired in the courses in their work.
For their part, the graduates valued the efforts of the courses’ lecturers, which positively impacted their interaction with the programs; and lauded the valuable practical and theoretical training.
