In a visit to the Education Department, at the Human Resources Directorate General at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, a delegation from the General Directorate of Civil Defense Abu Dhabi got acquainted with the department’s organizational structure and its related tasks and duties. The delegation also reviewed the Abu Dhabi Police’s experience with respect to scholarship students studying in the country and abroad, which contributed to upgrade the standard of services provided to the public.
Colonel Abdullah Rashid Al Zaabi, Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation; pointing out to the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense’s keenness to cooperate with the Education Department with respect to internal and external scholarships, and to determine the scientific requirements related to the Civil Defense’s services.
The meeting was attended by Major Khalfan Abdullah Al Mansouri, Chief of the Scholarships Section, on behalf of the Education Department; and First Lt. Ali Juma Al Zaabi, Strategic Planning Branch Manager, along with a number of officers.
For his part, Lieutenant Hamid Al-Ali, Director General’s Office Director, noted that the urban development taking place in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi require all domestic sectors to keep pace with this boom, within the targets set for the Capital’s 2030 plan. He also explained that an action plan and detailed study will be established to attract national cadres, and qualify them properly to work in the civil defense sector.
At the end of the visit, Colonel Abdullah Al Zaabi praised the efforts exerted by the Education Department, expressing his thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality. Moreover, commemorative shields and gifts were exchanged between both parties.
