Awareness Program Organized by Al Shabia Police Station

The Al Shabia Police Station at Abu Dhabi Police kicked off the student awareness program, which coincides with the end of the academic year and the start of the summer vacation. The program aims to acquaint students with police concepts and its important role in society, with a view to channel their energies and refine their societal behavior.
First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Investigation Branch Manager at the Al Shabia Police Station, affiliated with the Capital Police Directorate, had received in his office, the summer programs’ students to acquaint them with the tasks an duties undertaken by the Abu Dhabi Police.
He stated: "The program organized by Al Shabia Police Station, aims to educate the youth, and provide them with information on the role and services offered to the public by the various police sections. It also aims to instill good values in their souls and equip them with the necessary skills so as to become role models in assuming their responsibilities. Furthermore, the program seeks to help the youth develop their abilities, and self-reliance, as well as promote entrepreneurship, volunteerism, and development, for the service of society”.
Moreover, First Lieutenant Al Nahyan explained that the program, which targets school students of grades 5 to 10, during the school holidays. He stressed that such important activities strengthen the positive relationship between students and the police institution, by providing awareness, education and guidance to students on many aspects of life. "Young people are the nucleus of the present and pillars of the future. They are the protectors of this nation and the power behind progress,” he continued.
Students toured the various sections and branches of the Al Shabia Police Station, and reviewed their tasks and duties, namely; the Investigation and Patrols, Criminal Investigation, Anti-Drugs, K9, Civil Defense, among others.
At the end of the tour, First Lieutenant Ahmed Bin Nasser Al Nahyan distributed commemorative gifts to the students; urging them to pursue further academic attainment, in order to realize their dreams and future aspirations.
