Receives notifications around-the-clock

The Police Operations Room of the Central Operations Directorate General at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ works around-the-clock during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director at the Central Operations Directorate General, indicated that the Operations Room is equipped with the latest devices and advanced technologies to receive all forms of calls and notifications throughout the day and night. Moreover, he emphasized the readiness of the Operations Room to receive notifications about infiltrators in line with the efforts to eliminate this issue. He also shed light on the system to follow up and document procedures in order to handle and prioritize all calls and notifications, in addition to mobilizing the required police resources.
He indicated that the Abu Dhabi Police’s Operations Room received a total of 279,556 calls and 63,443 notifications last Ramadan; he further noted that the number of calls received by the Operations Room in the past six months amounted to 725,484 calls, including 458,469 notifications.
Lt. Colonel Ali Muftah Al Iryani, Chief of Central Operations Section, who is directly in-charge of the Abu Dhabi Police’s Operations Room, said that it is managed by highly-trained skillful Emirati personnel. These personnel are fully prepared, both during Ramadan and on any other day, to ensure the continuity of work. This dedicated staff receives a variety of calls and notifications around-the-clock.
In parallel, First Lieutenant Fahed Abdul Rahman Al Dahmani, Secretary of the Office of the Department Head, and Head of the Public Relations Unit, urged the public to be vigilant and careful. He called upon community members to observe traffic regulations and avoid stopping their vehicles in prohibited places and those spaces that are reserved for disabled persons. He also called upon them to not block traffic near markets and avoid using mobile phones while driving as the offense can lead to traffic accidents.
