Within the "Your Safety” Campaign

The Community Police Department launched an initiative in the holy month of Ramadan, within the Abu Dhabi Police’s awareness campaign, held under the slogan "Your Safety”. Pursuant to this initiative, the foot patrols, along with the community police members will visit and take part in the Ramadan councils, which will tackle a number of societal issues and topics, such as warning against the scourge of begging and the risks of fireworks.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Muhairom, Director of the Community Police noted that "the Department” takes this opportunity to express its warm congratulations and blessings to the higher leadership and the people of the UAE on the advent of Ramadan.
"The holy month of Ramadan is characterized by a spirit of compassion and communication among community members. This is reflected in the Ramadan councils, which include purposeful discussions on various problems and obstacles mainly evident in residential neighborhoods. Such problems include the reckless use of fireworks, warning young people against their risks; acquainting community members with the importance of confronting the begging scourge which increases with the advent of Ramadan. Moreover, communication between community police members and community members bolsters the societal relations among them and strengthens community action and boosts confidence between the public and the police”, added bin Muhairom.
Concluding, Director of the Community Police indicated that the Ramadan councils witness a lot of community meetings, which bring together parents, children, neighbors and friends; strengthen cohesion and friendship among them, and promotes security and stability among community members.
