Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, recently toured the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. Their Highnesses visited the Machinery and Arms Section at the Forensic Evidence Department. They were briefed on the latest technologies used to test the machinery, arms, and ammunition.

They also toured the operations room and the mobile operations room; they were briefed on the work processes, and how the rooms handle calls and accidents. The presentation was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Salim Nasser Al Maskari, Head of the Operations Department at the Central Operations Directorate General, and high-ranking officers. It shed light on the response to emergency and non-emergency calls, as well as the follow-up and distribution of police resources in different areas and jurisdictions. Their Highnesses also viewed a presentation on modern technologies in the operations rooms as well as the systems used in the CCTV camera control room.

The tour included a visit to the Strategy and Performance Development Department where Their Highnesses attended a presentation on the systems that have been adopted by the department for higher committees.

Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council accompanied Their Highnesses on the tour.

Their Highnesses were also accompanied by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Dr. Saif Bou Dhfeera Al Ameri, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs; Brigadier Fares Al Farsi, Director General of Guards and Special Tasks in Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Muhammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dahiri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General Secretariat of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Colonel Saud Al Sa’idi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior; and a number of high-ranking officers.
