Top Procurement Briefing Series Moves to Dubai After a Successful Inaugural Year in London.

The Real World Sourcing Series, hosted by Tejari, the spend analysis and strategic sourcing company, partners with CIPS MENA in 2013 to bring together the top minds in procurement. Led by supply chain experts Guy Allen and Peter Smith, the series will consist of four briefings focusing on key issues that procurement teams must conquer to effectively drive organisational change.
The 2013 Real World Sourcing Scholarship
In conjunction with the series, Tejari will offer participants the chance to win the Real World Sourcing Scholarship which will provide a fund of 10,000AED which can be used towards any procurement specific training, such as CIPS or other professional training qualifications.
To qualify, participants must attend a minimum of 2 briefings and complete the online certifications following all four briefings. The top scorer will win the 10,000AED Real World Sourcing Series Scholarship. As well as the chance to win the scholarship, all of the briefings are accredited for CPD points for all attendees.
Real World Sourcing Series 2013 Dates and Topics
In the initial session on 3rd April will be led by both Peter Smith and Guy Allen. Smith will lead the briefing on Taking on a New Category and will discuss the factors that are involved in this process. He will lay out a plan of approach for taking on a new category, or starting out on Category Management for the first time, whether the procurement professional lead is an experienced practitioner or a newcomer to the profession.
Allen will be tackling the subject of Spend Analysis and searching for clues in Spend Analysis. This briefing will cover harnessing the power of your spend data and aims to talk about making the most of the data you have available.

5th June 2013 – Maximising Success from eAuctions & Assessing the Procurement Function
2nd October 2013 – Contract Management - Generating Real Value from your Contracts & Effective Supplier Relationship Management
